Eurovision 2020 is officially cancelled

The European Broadcasting Union officially cancelled Eurovision 2020 yesterday, March 18th. I never though I would get to witness such an unfortunate event in my life. Eurovision was created to bond countries together after the bloody World War II, now a nasty pandemic has put an end to a 64 years old tradition.

Yes, to be honest I think it was the smartest decision to make. Why? Because given the severity of this horrible pandemic, we will never know when it will end. It could be in a few weeks or even six months, we know for sure that we didn’t even reach the peak. Yesterday almost 500 people died in Italy and thousands of new cases appeared all over Europe.

These are dark and ugly days and it’s almost impossible to stay mentally healthy but we have to do our best and hope that things will start to improve soon. It’s really important to follow the basic rules (stay inside, wash your hands and AVOID social contact). Fingers crossed for better days, health always comes first!
