After a long and exhausting national selection, Norsk Melodi Grand Prix came to and end tonight. Given the fact that some of my favorites were eliminated during the semifinals, I only had to support Raylee and Ulrikke. Both had great songs and both deserved the ticket to Rotterdam.
Sadly the public couldn’t vote in the first round when the first 4 finalists were chosen, so only the juries had the final say in this. We ended up with a golden final with four females, Ulrikke and Raylee among them. In the end, the golden duel was between Kristin and Ulrikke and the voting was harsh. Ulrikke won the final with only a few votes ahead of Kristin.
The international fans also voted online, so maybe they had a huge say in this as well. Ulrikke’s victory is well deserved and I’m sure that she will do well in Rotterdam. Morland writes and produces AMAZING songs, so a big congratulations should go to him as well. Best of luck, Norge!
