Tonight: Second Semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2020

The second melfest semifinal is here and just as predicted before, this really IS a strong semifinal. Five out of seven entries are indeed worth to get a ticket to the grand final but sadly only two of them will make it, while another two will end up in the second chance round.

It’s really difficult to predict what will happen, especially when the swedes tend to make some shocking choices. I personally like 5/7 entries and if it were for me, I would qualify in the final Klara becase she has a total BANGER (definitely my summer 2020 dance song) and Dotter because she brings to the table a nice show and a song that fits her better compared to her previous entry from 2017.

Annna B. has a nice song but for some reason, I had other expectations, that’s why I’m gonna choose her an my second chance candidate plus Paul Rey (newnewcomer) who has a cute song but yet a simplistic package.

Of course this is just my personal taste. Sweden will most likely vote in a total different way. But to make it even better, I am writing this post from Gothenburg as I’m about to witness my first ever LIVE melfest. I am excited and grateful for the people that made this dream come true so early. Also, Gothenburg is a special city that has a special place in my heart. Why? Well, I will write about this in another post soon. In the meantime, here is the running order for tomorrow’s show:

  1. Klara Hammarstrom – “Nobody”
  2. Jan Johansen – “Miraklernas tid”
  3. Dotter – “Bulletproof”
  4. Mendez feat. Alvaro – “Vamos Amigos”
  5. Linda Bengtzig – “Alla mina sorger”
  6. Paul Rey – “Talking in my sleep”
  7. Anna Bergendahl – “Kindom Come”
