Viennese vibes

One month ago I was arriving in Vienna on a random flixbus ride with many hopes, excitement and eagerness to change my life. I just can’t believe that one month already passed away and it’s just shocking how quickly time flies. In case someone’s wondering, yes, I’m happy here. I found a lot of things such as new opportunities, incredible people, new friendships and most importantly, I’m beginning to find myself which is something that I was waiting to do for a life-time now.

Unlike other capitals, you can never get tired of Vienna. I feel like I can walk these streets for eternity and I would never get bored because there is always something new to see and learn. There’s something special about Vienna but I can’t really tell what it could be. I love the fact that you can hear so many languages while walking down the streets, the fact that you can feel so free of everything and that life is indeed more beautiful here. Someone recently asked me which is my favorite spot in Vienna but that was quite a difficult question to answer since I’m still researching the city. So far I’m in love with Schönbrunn Palace, I could spend endless hours there, randomly walking around the gardens or simply enjoying the breathtaking view of Vienna.

Vienna has a lot of places where you can relax and chill after a long week. To make it even better, you can find several places like restaurants from different countries where you can get spoiled with national dishes even if you’re not in that specific country.

My favorite one was this small Italian pizzeria in the city center where you could actually feel the Italian vibes and enjoy an original Italian pizza, almost like home-made.

Obviously social-life is very important and there is no better place like Vienna to meet incredible people from all over the world since this city is so cosmopolitan. I’m also lucky enough to work with people from various countries at the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights. I feel blessed and super lucky to be part of such an amazing experience.
