I’m moving to Vienna

This was bound to happen eventually. Not moving to Vienna, but moving abroad somewhere where I could get to do more exciting stuff, learn more about me, about what I’m actually capable to do and obviously reach new horizons. It was a shocking decision for most of my friends and relatives, happened on a really short-notice, disappointed several people but yet again, it takes a bit of effort to actually understand when and how everything happened. In the end, I don’t regret taking this decision since it’s something that I envisioned myself doing for quite a long time.

I’m super thankful for my amazing friends that support me with every single step that I took for this adventure. I’m about to detach from my daily life, from family and from friends. Does it feel scary? Hell yes it does but at the same time I can feel the excitement and the desire to go on with this. It’s not easy on many levels but with every step that I took in this direction, this was bound to happen. Recently I wrote an article about how important your job is and expressed feelings about my previous experience and current one, which I absolutely loved. It was here where it was the most difficult to decide, keep your current life & job, or go abroad and experience new stuff? I eventually went for the second option even though I loved almost every day spent as a Pricing Analyst, mostly because of the people and at the same time, because of them it will be really difficult to let go.

I’m eager to share my newest international experience here, on my blog, on the “Viennese Diary” section. I will be covering various topics about life and expenses in Vienna, opportunities, stories, other fun travel experiences and many other great things. It’s a new adventure and I’m first in line when it comes to that, so let the games begin! 🙂

Some random facts about this decision:

  • my previous trip to Austria wasn’t related at all with this decision, the offer came AFTER I planned my vacation here.
  • I’m leaving Romania in two weeks, more or less.
  • I’m scared, excited and eager TO DO THIS!
